Youth project marks final conference in Muğla

The final YOUNGSDG conference took place on 19 June 2026 at Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University in Muğla, Türkiye, bringing together 44 participants for the main public closing event of the Erasmus+ project Global Youth for SDGs: Empowering Future Leaders. Educators and students attended the event to hear about the project’s results and the practical tools developed during its two-year run.

Hülya Kara Subasat and Gürcan Çetin, from ECO-IN, presented the project outputs and set out the main resources created through YOUNGSDG. These included the SDG YOUTH methodology, training guides and a dedicated platform designed to keep the materials available for future use.

Victor Ricardo Martinez, from Consulta Europa, introduced the project website and explained how it would help preserve access to the results after the conference. He also outlined the project’s wider impact, including its contribution to critical thinking, responsibility for global issues and stronger community involvement.

Certificates were handed to all participants by Semra Ayata and Victor Ricardo Martinez, marking the close of the conference. The transnational project meeting that followed the next day was a separate working session for partner organisations and was not the main public event.
