Youth Transform SDGs into Action at Online Workshop

From July 8-9, 2025, the Global Youth for SDGs: Empowering Future Leaders (@YOUNGSDG) project hosted a dynamic online workshop focused on creating Civil Public Service Announcements (CPSAs). The two-day event brought together over 50 young people aged 17-25, providing them with the tools and skills to translate the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into impactful digital campaigns.

The workshop’s goal was to raise awareness and inspire action among youth through creative digital posters, animations, and videos. Participants worked in teams, using accessible online tools like Canva and Powtoon, to co-create messages that connected global goals to their own local realities.

Throughout the event, participants delved into the importance of the SDGs, learnt how to craft powerful public messages, and developed new skills in digital storytelling and campaign design. The workshop’s structure included:

  • Day 1: Introduction to the SDGs, hands-on workshops for Canva and Powtoon, and group brainstorming sessions to develop campaign ideas.
  • Day 2: Dedicated time for creative production, followed by final presentations where teams shared their finished CPSAs.

The result is a collection of creative posters, animations, and messages that showcase the participants’ visions for a more sustainable future. These youth-driven digital campaigns aim to inspire action, reflection, and behavioural change in their communities.

The final posters are now available for download below, serving as a powerful example of how young people are leading the charge for a more inclusive and responsible global community.
